1. WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?
“Personal Information” is information that, either alone or in combination with other information, relates to or identifies you. When we combine your Personal Information with information that does not, on its own, identify you, we treat the combined information as Personal Information.
3. HOW GLOBAL POLLING COLLECTS AND USES PERSONAL INFORMATION a. Personal Information Collected Via the Site
If you are a user of Global Polling Service (a “Customer”) or otherwise visit our Site, we collect information through your use of the Site, and retain the information only as long as is needed or required by law, as described in Section 10 below. We retain the following types of information:
Contact, Account, and Billing Information: Global Polling processes Personal Information that you provide through creation and management of your account, such as your name, email address, and phone number. For example, we process your payment information for billing purposes via a third-party billing service. We process this Personal Information only as necessary to provide the Service to you under our Terms of Service or for our legitimate interests in providing quality Service that meets your needs and expectations. For example, we use this information to bill you for your use of the Service; respond to your inquiries regarding the Service; facilitate our account recovery services in the event you forget your log-in credentials; and for other purposes related to the reasons for which you provide your Personal Information.
Emails: If our legitimate interests require us to provide you with information regarding the
Service, Global Polling will use your email address to contact you. For example, we will send you
payment receipts and information regarding critical updates to your subscription. Unless you
opt out using the process described in our Terms of Service, we will also send you a newsletter
with updates for you to log in and vote on, as well as information on new features available with
a subscription upgrade.
User ID and Password Information. Global Polling processes user ID and password information to enable Customers to log in and use the Service. We use this information only as necessary to provide the Service to you under our Terms of Service. When you log in to our Site
or Service through a social networking site such Facebook or Twitter, we may receive Personal
Information you have already provided us.
IP Address and Header Information: To further our legitimate interests in maintaining and administering our Site, Global Polling automatically collects certain information when you visit our Site. We collect “Header Information,” which includes browser type, operating system, language, screen resolution, referring URL, and other information provided to our web server by your browser. We also collect your IP address. We use this information to assist in log-in, systems administration, information security and abuse prevention, and to track user trends. Global Polling Traffic Data: Like our Customers, we use our Service to generate useful insights about our visitors’ use of the Site. We use non-sensitive data collected from our implementation of the Service (described below) to further our legitimate interest in analysing and maintaining our Site’s look, function, and content. We only collect keystroke data when you enter data into form fields that do not require or prompt you to provide sensitive information
b. Personal Information Collected Via the Service.
Global Polling processes Information collected from the Service, and we retain the information only as long as needed or as long as required by law, as described in Section 10 below. Our Customers are responsible for determining whether there are a lawful basis and legitimate purpose for processing the Information. We strongly advise you to review notices and privacy policies on any website to determine what information is collected and processed by that Customer website.
IP Address and Header Information: Through our Service, our websites collect and use IP address and Header Information from you when you browse their websites. When Global Polling processes your IP address, we can identify your internet service provider and the general geographic area from which you are accessing our website. We process Header Information to determine website sources of traffic into our Site, the type of browser you are using, and information about your device and operating system. This information helps us identify issues with and improve our Site. To protect your privacy on our Site, we enable IP address masking, which removes the last three digits of your IP address before storing it on our servers.
We collect Personal Information and other data through our Site, only as it relates to a visitor’s use of a single website. Global Polling does not track Customers across websites. However, we aggregate Traffic Data, which combines your data with the data of others to create a statistical summary that does not identify any individual. This combined data helps us further our legitimate interests in providing statistical benchmarking data and vertical-driven insights to our Customers.
Global Polling uses tracking technologies to help operate the Site and the Service, provide quality
user experience, and collect information about online activity. These
technologies involve placing small data files known as “cookies” on your device. Other tracking technologies that we may use include pixel tags, web beacons, and local shared objects. Cookies and similar technologies enable us to give users a personalised experience on the Site, help our Site load faster (through “load balancing” technology), and enable our users to collect useful data with our Service. Tracking technologies may allow us and our Customers to store and manage your preferences and settings; measure and analyse how you use the Products and Services and effectiveness of our communications; offer targeted products, programs, and services; and help us improve our products, services, and security.
You can usually block, delete, or disable these technologies on most browsers. If you choose to reject
cookies or other tracking technologies, some features and functionalities of our Site and Service may be limited or unavailable. Please review your browser manufacturer’s help pages for assistance with changing your settings.
5. TO WHOM GLOBAL POLLING DISCLOSES PERSONAL INFORMATION
This section describes to whom we disclose Personal Information, and for what purposes:
Our Service Providers. We employ service providers to perform tasks on our behalf and to assist us in providing the Site and Service. Examples of our service providers include the payment processor PAYPAL, and the email marketing platform MailChimp for sending email messages to Customers.
Our Clients’ Service Providers. At our Clients’ direction, we may provide Personal
Information and other data to third-party service providers on our Clients’ behalf. This data
enables our Clients to integrate our Service with other services they use, such as customer
relation management systems. You can read our Clients’ posted privacy policies to learn more
about the manner in which our Clients have implemented our Service on their websites,
including integrations with third-party services.
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics, an analytics service, along with our own Service, to help us analyse our Site traffic. For more information on Google Analytics’ processing of Personal Information, see the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
Companies Involved in Mergers and Acquisition Transactions: From time to time, Global Polling may choose to buy or sell assets. These types of transactions usually require the transfer of Personal Information and other user data. Moreover, if Global Polling, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, user data would be one of the assets that are reviewed and transferred or acquired by a third party.
Law Enforcement, Government Agencies, and Courts: Global Polling may disclose Personal Information at the request of law enforcement or government agencies or in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process to establish, protect, or exercise our legal or other rights or to defend against a legal claim or as otherwise required or allowed by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of a Client or any other person. We may also disclose Personal Information to investigate or prevent a violation by you of any contractual or other relationship with us or your illegal or harmful activity.

you how you can opt out at your will.
Email Opt-Out. Users can opt out of marketing emails through their account settings.
7. YOUR DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS
a. Your Rights as a Customer of Global Polling
We recognise the responsibilities that we have as a controller of the Personal Information collected by or through the Site. We take steps to help ensure that our Users can exercise their rights regarding their Personal Information in accordance with applicable law.
Customers can access and edit certain categories of Personal Information through the Account Management page. Our opt-out feature also enables you to exercise your right to object to certain processing activities.
Depending on where you live, you may have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or other regulatory agency if you believe that we have violated any of your rights concerning your Personal Information. We encourage you to first reach out to us at [email protected], so we have an opportunity to address your concerns directly before you do so.
8. PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN
Global Polling does not knowingly provide access to the Service to children under the age of sixteen (16). If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from children, and if we do not have a lawful basis to process such Personal Information under applicable law, we will promptly take steps to delete such Personal Information.

The protection of Personal Information is of paramount importance to Global Polling. We use industry- standard practices such as encrypted storage, firewalls, and password protection systems to safeguard Personal Information from loss, misuse or alteration. We take steps to help ensure our employees and contractors clearly and completely understand their obligations to maintain and honour information security, and we restrict employee and contractor access to Personal Information. Although we make every effort to store Personal Information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee the security of Personal Information during its transmission or its storage on our systems. Further, while we attempt to ensure the integrity and security of Personal Information, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent so- called hackers and other third parties from illegally obtaining access to Personal Information. Global Polling does not represent or warrant that Personal Information about you will be protected against, loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties.
11. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
Our Site may contain links to third party websites. Global Polling, however, is not responsible for the privacy practices of third party websites you choose to visit. Different rules may apply to the use or disclosure of information directly to parties other than Global Polling. It is your responsibility to investigate and ask questions before disclosing your Personal Information to third parties.
